Toys, Games and Other Children's Items

Boy Scouting was an obvious theme for toys, games, and other children's items during the 1910s because of Scouting's popularity with children, and, perhaps even more importantly, because of Scouting's popularity with those who bought the toys and games – parents. Companies made board games, card games, banks, toy soldiers, toy guns, tin drums, and innumerable other itmes. Even the most famous current game companies – including Milton Bradley, Parker Bros. – made Boy Scout games. Although these toys and games are not easy to find, they surfance often enough, and with such variety, that they must have been extremely popular.
